Do not just cross the desert. Learn to drive it.
A private driving experience that moves you from passenger to driver. With a specialist instructor, learn to handle a 4x4 across AlUla's desert terrain. Begin with vehicle and safety fundamentals, then practise sand driving, ascents, descents, terrain reading and line choice. Finish with a practical challenge that puts new skills to use. This is not a sightseeing outing or an unstructured dune-bashing ride. It is a genuine driving and learning experience where two guests can share the wheel and progress through considered stages towards a final challenge. Participation: both guests may take turns driving, provided each person who drives holds a valid driving licence.

Welcome and safety briefing
Welcome guests, verify driving licences, introduce the experience and explain safety rules and how to communicate with the instructor.
Vehicle orientation
Understand drive modes, vehicle controls, braking, tyre pressure and the appropriate driving position.
Sand-driving fundamentals
Practise moving off, stopping, turning and maintaining control over soft sand.
Ascending and descending
Learn to select the entry angle, manage speed, ascend safely and descend with control.
Break and performance review
A short break with water and drinks, photo time and instructor feedback on guest performance.
Terrain reading and line choice
Train to read ground conditions, choose an appropriate line, avoid unsuitable areas and regain vehicle control.
Final challenge
Complete a short route bringing together the skills learned, under instructor supervision.
Review and close
A concise performance review, souvenir photos and delivery of a digital participation certificate.

Where is it held?
AlUla desert terrain. The route is selected and approved by the service provider.
Capacity and price?
One vehicle for up to 2 guests; SAR 2,600 per vehicle, not per person, including 15% VAT.
Duration and confirmation?
3 hours. Booking must be confirmed at least 24 hours in advance.
Who can drive?
Each driver needs a valid driving licence, must be at least 18, and signs a safety acknowledgement before the experience begins. Full adherence to the instructor's directions is required, and operation is subject to weather and route conditions.
Are transfers included?
No. Hotel transfers are not included and may only be added if separately approved later.
